Olympic gold medal canoeist Tim Baillie has been announced as the first sports ambassador for Aberdeen based extreme sports social enterprise Transition Extreme.

Baillie is to promote and support the work of the company, which helps encourage young people through extreme sports and creative arts. He commented 'I have been relatively fortunate with the opportunities I have had but having something in your life you are passionate about can give people structure they might otherwise lack'.
